Description
With their recent growth in popularity chatbots are being deployed in various settings, ranging from domain specific in-messenger shopping agents to Twitter bots capable of impersonating celebrities. Even though those business and entertainment focused bots currently prevail, deploying chatbots in other domains like education could proof beneficial and open new e-Learning opportunities. Hence this thesis will explore the potential and limits of chatbots supporting teaching by conveying technical information and explanations in a tutor-like manner. In the thesis, multiple approaches will be explored and compared, starting from ready-to-use framework-based APIs towards more customized NLP pipelines.
